A graduate of the Journalism and Communication School of Marseille in France, David Fabrega found Conteur d’images productions in 2011 to make documentary films. He also gives film presentations in educational institutions, produces photographic editorials and holds an industrial patent for a camera lens controller, the Fingazoom.
His first feature film – Biodiversity: an odyssey – has been released on television at TV5 Monde and Science & Vie TV. Recommended by the United Nations, the film shows how people in 10 different countries have developed innovative solutions to preserve biodiversity on Earth.
In 2016, his second feature film about the return of the Cuban diaspora – Return to Cuba – was part of the official selection at the Africa World Documentary Film Festival (USA) and the Latin America Film Festival of Montreal (Canada). His photography about Cuban transexuals and the transformation of Cuban houses into stores has been featured in popular Canadian newspapers and magazines such as Le Devoir, L’actualité, Photo Solution or Urbania.
